School Religious Education in the Colombian General Education Law of 1994 is one of the compulsory areas in the processes of integral formation of citizens, where by constitutional provisions on issues of religious freedom and worship and by the Ministry of National Education (MNE) has had to think about its nature, its place and its implementation in the classroom. These demands have been the subject of research by academics who have been searching to consolidate the ERE as a discipline that contributes to the purposes of education in the country and not in a confessional way that provides a sense of life, commitment to the other and the transcendental.
